Would this make a bad ground?

im hooking subs up indoors and im using this littlw metal stand think and its has a bunch of holes in it(probably from laptops and things so its vented.) would this make a bad ground or would the holes not effect anything? Its still all conected but theres are tons of tinny holes throughout it.....
