Ok, what's up with my ears? Warning: Very long story...?

It sounds like it could be an ear infection to me, but I'm not going to lie to you, I'm no doctor. Honestly, just listen to your doctor, and try and get a 2nd or even a 3rd opinion, tell them about the pain, and ask if you can get a pain killer prescription if the pain is bad enough. It might just be a temporary bug or glandular virus of some sort.
